KATHRYN LAWRENSON

EDUCATIONAL CONSULTANT
PSYCHOLOGIST

Kathryn is a psychologist and primary school teacher with over fifteen years experience in working with children and their families. Kathryn holds full registration as a psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency and has taught children from grades K-8. She has worked as a psychologist in both school and private practice settings.

Bachelor degree in both Psychology and Education at Macquarie University.
Postgraduate Diploma of Psychology at Macquarie University.

In a previous role, Kathryn worked as a Gifted and Talented Officer with the Catholic Education Office, on a team responsible for developing, creating and implementing an identification and screening assessment battery to identify gifted and talented students. As part of her role she was also responsible for completing all psychometric assessments on the identified students.

Kathryn also has interest in conducting a range of psychological and educational assessments to assist in identifying and planning to meet a child’s needs. She also has extensive experience in developing and implementing individualised tutoring and remediation programs in literacy and numeracy for children in primary and early secondary school.

Kathryn is trained in a range of counselling techniques and therapies to provide services for children with a range of difficulties, including: anxiety, depression, dyslexia, dyscalculia, ADHD and autism. She also runs social skills groups and has an interest in working with children who have processing speed and executive function difficulties.
